My "Rockshow-like" Mudik XP
Thursday after the idul fitri prayers, my family went around the new neighbourhood to ask 4giveness for our faults (standard stuffs).. our plan was to leave for Central Java after meeting n shakin hands with ministers (also standard)..
so we left at 11am. the road was filled with cars. we made it to the ministrial housings, but the road was well overcrowded.. after not moving for about 15mnts, we decided to turn around n just head towards my mom's hometown Kudus (central java).. around 12pm we drove to cikampek.. the freeway was so full.. traffic jam the whole way.. 63km in 4 hours.. from cikampek to kudus took about 10 hours and we arrived bout 2am..
the next day we went to the graves 2 pay respect to relatives that have passed away. after the friday prayer, we left for Jepara. In jepara we went around the "kampung" to meet relatives there.. we also went to the graves there.. at nite (730pm) we left and went back to Kudus 2rest.
On saturday morning we left for Semarang to meet cousins to have a 1day vacation to Salatiga; a beautiful mountain with the best view of Merapi Volcano. Salatiga is also one of the places where missionaries focus to spread christianity. The day was tiring. We bought a soccer ball and played soccer by our hotel, rode horses across the field, and had local cuisines..
Sunday morning we left @8am heading for Kendal where a family gathering was to take place at noon. The travel to Kendal was full of traffic. We passed Semarang about 11am and arrived @Kendal around 12.30pm.. after shaking hands and eating and talking and all, we went back to jakarta.
......Not Straight Back of course......
We stopped @pekalongan to visit other relatives. at 5pm we went to tegal to our hotel for the nite. the road was packed (and so was the hotel). a normal 30mnt travel took 2.5hours that day.
on monday morning we left the hotel for Jakarta at 6am.. we finally arrived @12pm.. the travel didnt seem long coz we left early and from the middle hehe..
so there it is.. the travel with minimum rest.. that left my legs and ass tired to the bone hehehe..
the only big news that surprised and shocked every1 was when my grandpa announced that HE WAS GOING TO MARRY AGAIN!! hahaha... my 80year old grandpa is marrying again... hehehe hard 2digest *lol*
