Just saw the movie "Just Like Heaven".. a so-so, standard romantic comedy.. about a ghost and the usual "unfinished business".. yaawn.. i wont write a review on the movie, but 2 of the funniest lines in the movie:

1. "Alcohol is a social lubricate.. Make men brave.. Make women loose.."

2. (When taking the girl's body from d hospital):
David: "Thanks for helping me out, man.. It really means a lot to me."
Psychologist friend: "One of these days Im gonna need help moving a dead body.. And
when dat day comes, I dont wanna hear any SHIT from you!"

Friday Nite Concert

On thursday afternoon, a friend called and said she had 3 tickets to watch the Audy+Jamrud concert on friday night @balai sarbini, plasa semanggi... One for her, one for me, and one up for grabs.. So i said yes and asked several friends to come, but they were all busy.. finally around 2pm, another friend (ccp) said she wanted to go..

Since the ticket states we had to enter by 6.30pm, we decided we have at maximum till 5.30pm to get ready.. It turns out ccp had to teach some elementary students which finishes at 5pm at Permata Hijau..

And yep.. she was late haha.. i mean, how do u get to her house from Permata Hijau in 30minutes in 5pm?!?! so i was pacing up and down in front of her house.. when i finally saw her car (5.45), i opened her house gates and she parked the car, closed the door, and entered mine..

I slammed the gas whenever possible and got her to talk like my mom ("careful..","watch the motorcycles", "brakes! brakes!") hahahaha... it was 3in1 so we didnt think we'd make it so we hired a jockey.. The whole journey only took 25minutes! in normal traffic it would be around 1hour hehe.. and how lucky just as i entered the parking lot, there was 1 vacant spot..

So i joined my other friend and we got in line.. By 7pm the line was hot n long and we wernt allowed to enter yet, so my friend called her boss who was already inside and asked to let us in first.. So we entered the place and chose the best seats (definition: most shot by the tv camera heheh) available and we got to watch audy rehearse..

I wont mention bout the concert coz a concert is, well... a concert.. but it was quite nice.. actually, i want 2write bout the concert but im too lazy 2write bout it now hehe...

The last posting was about the first big thing that happened the last few months.. and now this is another major turning point:

AVEVO DINAMIKA Ltd.

Using our prior experience in managing a company, this time we've prepared the plumbing tools in case "the pipes start to leak". ;)

Invaluable experiences that are implemented in Avevo Dinamika:
1. Shares are equal to roles which are clearly defined (your role and efforts determine what you get)
2. Ideas and efforts are highly valued

Avevo Dinamika uses the Holding Company concept. The concept is simple. If you have an idea for a business or product, come to Avevo. We will analyze it, do an initial market research and decide whether the idea is feasible or not. Do not worry, we WILL NOT STEAL your ideas. If the idea is feasible, then Avevo will move forward and build a SBU (Special Business Unit) to help make the idea. Depending on the idea initiator's role in realizing this idea, s/he will receive a share of the profits of the idea if there are any. This is Avevo's way of giving recognition to people with creative minds and ideas.

If the idea is successful and the operational runs smoothly, then Avevo will upgrade the SBU into a private company. The most competent person that had the largest role in the realization of the idea will be made CEO of the company. This means that the person that came up with the idea does not necessarily always become the CEO. This is Avevo's way of giving recognition to people with strong heart and will (effort).

The question that should be asked next is "Why upgrade the SBU into a company?" There are two answers to that:

1. Too many things to control would be too exhaustive.
2. Too many things to control would mean too many things to think about and thus block ideas from popping in our heads. Again, ideas are very highly valued in Avevo.

So far this concept has been quite fruitful in attracting ideas. At the moment, Avevo has four (4) IT Products, whereas two (2) of them are 100% satisfyingly completed, one (1) is completed from the technical point of view, and one (1) is in the design phase (hopefully completed in 2-3 months). Out of those four ideas, two were results from non-shareholders which means they use the profit sharing concept.

Aside from business/products, Avevo also has three major partnership agreements:

1. With a multimillion dollar international IT company whose clients are mostly from Fortune500 companies
2. With a national IT company
3. With a national media company (we get free 1 page editorial ads hehehe)

In just a couple of months, Avevo now has seven (7) highly dedicated employees. It doesn't seem much, but quite spectacular when you consider our initial financial capital haha.. Anyway, nothing is certain yet because success comprises of more than just effort. Lots of luck is also needed. But the future is starting to get brighter.

We all minimize the risks of failure.. And if successful, we become successful together. And this time its no crap.. :p

So wish us luck and remember... If you have any ideas and would like them to be implemented, give me/us a shout :)

My Life the Last Few Months

I havent written in this blog for a long long time.. It has been because of my mood and my busy schedule. This is two of the major things that have happened these last few months:

1. Im out of Ametis
2. Im in Avevo Dinamika

Though from the outside my X-company seemed to be going alright, inside it was a mess. It has been like that for quite a while. It had some very fundamental problems that were not solved immediately and just piled up.. But the main problem came from the inside.. If the cause could be summed up in one word, it would be "COMMITMENT".

to commit means to speak or act in such a manner as to bind oneself to a certain line of conduct.*

in lame terms, to deliver or "put your feet where your mouth is" or "walk the walk"... well u get the point.

The first problem was "unfamiliar shareholders". The shareholders were connected by a single person, who was trusted by each party, that vouched for the quality and commitment of each side of the parties. Everyone trusted his judgement and took the big risk.

Another issue was shares and role. This is where the word commitment enters. Everyone had equal value of shares for money. This was made possible because everyone said they were committed to being active in this company. This was not the case. After one year, half of the shareholders believed that the share of responsibilities and burden of the company was not equal. Some were much more active than others. And what made it a double whammy was that many of those that were active are not major shareholders. What we felt was basically that there were parties that invested lots of money and stated that we would all move forward as equals and equally share the burden & responsibilities TOGETHER. And then we all found out that it was all a piece of crap. Dats d problem.. It seemed we had different definitions of the word commitment. I defined it such as above, while some defined it as just saying "i am committed" without needing actions to prove it.

So in the last few months leading to our exit, we stopped invested our ideas (be it brilliant or not) in the company. Why? Why should we? What would we gain by doing so?

Anyway, all these problems reached its peak in mid January when it was too much to bear. In the end, those that felt that there was lack of justice, did not stay any longer. Another issue for me, a personal one, was dat d company was not run professionally. Decisions were not made using logic. Many decisions were made based on emotions and feelings. Very childish/immature. Its both sad and funny when u think bout it..

Anyway, good luck to them. They're gonna need it considering from what i hear which is that "the wise sea turtle" no longer gives a damn whether the now significantly reduced number of "ants" get the contract. As for me.. To this day, I still do not regret the decision to join the team a year ago.. My regret is that i did not see this much sooner and became too caught up in it. My networking was slightly hampered, but i was able to fix it. And now i have their (sea turtle's) backing up in the OSOL Programme!! hip hip hooraaay!!!
