Thank You, Firefox 2!

Read more for the detailed explanation of firefox's feature...

Firefox 2 contains a built-in Phishing Protection feature that warns you of suspected Web forgeries, and offers to take you directly to a search page so you can find the real Web site you were looking for. You can test the Phishing Protection feature by browsing to this test site.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What is Phishing?

Phishing is a form of identity theft that occurs when a malicious Web site impersonates a legitimate one in order to acquire sensitive information such as passwords, account details, or credit card numbers. Phishing attacks usually come from email messages that attempt to lure the recipient into updating their personal information on fraudulent, but very real looking, Web sites. More information on phishing can be found at the Anti-Phishing Working Group, and there are a number of examples and resources available at the Wikipedia Phishing page.

  2. How does the Phishing Protection feature work in Firefox 2?

Phishing Protection is turned on by default in Firefox 2, and works by checking the sites that you browse to against a list of known phishing sites. This list is automatically downloaded and regularly updated within Firefox 2 when the Phishing Protection feature is enabled. Since phishing attacks can occur very quickly, there's also an option to check the sites you browse to against an online service for more up-to-date protection. This enhanced capability, and other Phishing Protection settings, can be configured in Firefox's Security settings.

  3. What information is sent to Mozilla or anti-phishing partners when Phishing Protection is enabled?

When Phishing Protection is used in default mode, no information about the sites you visit is sent to Mozilla or anti-phishing partners. Rather, sites are checked against a local list that is downloaded to your computer and updated on a regular basis. When sites are checked against online anti-phishing services such as Google, the address of each web site you visit is sent to the online service over a secure SSL connection.

  4. How do I use the Phishing Protection feature?

Phishing Protection options can be found on the Security preferences pane. On Windows and Linux, go to Tools > Options ... > Security. On Mac OS X, go to Firefox > Preferences > Options ... > Security.

You can test to see if Phishing Protection is enabled by browsing to our test site. If Phishing Protection is turned on, a warning dialog will appear.

The "Get me out of here!" link will back out of a suspected phishing site and redirect you to the Firefox Start page. The "Ignore this warning" link will allow you to continue to the suspected phishing site.

  5. How do I report a suspected phishing site, or what if a warning appears on my own Web site?

In the Help menu there is an option to "Report Web Forgery..." which will bring you to a Web page that you can use to report a suspected phishing site, or to submit an incorrect forgery report.

Amazon is human after all...

Our customer ordered 5 items, 2 from Amazon USA, 1 from UK, 2 from JP.
Her name was Nissa and located at bogor.

The ordering process was normal, the status of our order was also correct (item, shipment, address).. That's why I was bewildered when yesterday a loyal customer, nida, called me and said she received a package that she did not order.. With her address in kebayoran baru-jakarta, this was quite annoying. We plan to pick up the item today and redeliver it to bogor.

I think this is also a first experience for Amazon because our contact was also bewildered and forwarded the information to their shipping department. Well the good thing was both parties laughed the problem out (I managed to make a joke out of it) and Amazon fully refunded the shipping cost as compensation for our extra shipping efforts.

so... Amazon is human after all...

This dude is so funny... This song will knock your socks off...

Click below for the lyric of the song.

Well I Got Home and the door was locked
And I tried to ring the bell
I found a little bitty note that she had wrote
Telling me to go to hell
I crawled in the window got inside
She kicked me in the balls I cried
Called me a name said I lied
Kicked me again I thought I died
Took my clothes set em on fire
And hit me with her curling iron
I tired to block it with my watch
And then she kicked me in the crotch again
Yeah today's the day my wife met my girlfriend
Well I tried to tell her but she didn't care
Things weren't what they seemed
She had a pan on the stove full of boiling water
And my nads would soon be steamed
I tried to run scream for help
She hit me in the nerts with a Rhinestone belt
It was like nothing that I ever felt
I thank god I wasn't wearing a kilt
She grabbed a bat from beneath the bed
She swung it once and she missed my head
She reared back swung again and
Then she hit me in the twins again
Yeah today's the day my wife met my girlfriend
Yeah today's that awful day,
Now my boys won't be the same
Yeah today's the day my wife met my girlfriend
